Customizing Your Appearance in Cal ID
In Cal ID, the Appearance settings allow you to personalize the visual experience of your account. You can customize both your internal dashboard theme and the layout your guests see on your public booking page.
- Log in to Cal ID
- Navigate to Settings
- Go to Appearance tab
- Customize your Appearance: Follow the detailed points below to set your themes and layouts.
- Save: Click the final Update button at the very bottom.
This section controls the appearance of your logged-in dashboard. It is for your eyes only and does not affect your customers.
- System Default: Automatically matches your computer or browser's light/dark mode settings.
- Light: Sets a clean, bright interface with a white background.

- Dark: Sets a high-contrast dark interface, which can be easier on the eyes in low-light environments.

- How to apply: Select your preferred theme and click the Update button directly below that section.
This section determines the theme your guests see when they visit your link to book a meeting.
- Customization: Just like the dashboard, you can choose between System default, Light, or Dark.

- Pro Tip: Choose a theme that matches your brand’s professional aesthetic. Many users prefer "Light" for a traditional business feel or "Dark" for a modern, tech-focused look.
- How to apply: Select the theme and click the Update button in the Booking page theme section.

The Booking layout determines how your available time slots are presented to the world. You have the power to decide which views are available and which one greets the user first.
- The Three Layout Options:
Month View: Provides a standard grid showing the entire month. This is best for users who are booking far in advance and need to see high-level availability.

Weekly View: Displays a side-by-side comparison of days within a specific week. This is ideal for users looking for an immediate opening within the next few days.

Column View: A sleek, vertical list of dates followed by their specific time slots. This is the most mobile-friendly view and is great for quick selection.

- Enabling Multiple Views:
By checking the boxes for Month, Weekly, and Column, you allow your bookers to switch between these layouts manually using buttons on your public page.

If you only want your users to see one specific style, uncheck the other two.

- Setting the Default View:
Under the Default view header, you will see buttons for Month, Weekly, and Column.
Select the one you want to load automatically when someone clicks your booking link.

To provide the most flexibility, check all three layout boxes (Month, Weekly, and Column). This allows your bookers to switch to the view they find most comfortable while navigating your schedule.
