Date Overrides or Set Unavailable

Date Overrides are for when your schedule needs to be different for just one or two days. They allow you to change your hours for a specific date without changing your regular routine.

With availability date overrides, you can now pick any date that you're currently available and set specific hours for availability on that day or mark yourself entirely unavailable. Taking a half day next Thursday and Friday to do some last-minute shopping? Simply set an override on those specific days to block yourself off.

When to use this

  • Taking a day off: If you are going on a holiday.
  • A one-time appointment: If you need to be busy for 2 hours on a specific days.
  • Special hours: If you want to work on holiday just for few hours.

How to add an Override

  1. Go to Availability: Click on the schedule you want to adjust.
  2. Find Overrides: Scroll down to the bottom to the Date Overrides section.

  1. Click "+ Add an override" and Pick the Date: Select the specific day on the calendar you want to change.
  2. Set the Time:
  • To be Busy all day: Toggle ON the Mark unavailable (All day) field
  • To change the time: Select Which hours are you free for that specific day only.

  1. Apply: Click Save Overrides and then click the main Save button at the top of the page.

How it works

  • Overrides take priority: If your regular schedule says you are free, but your Override says you are busy, Cal ID will show you as Busy.
  • Temporary: Once the date has passed, your calendar goes back to its normal weekly schedule automatically.
