Single-Use or Time Based Private Links
In Cal ID, the Private Links feature offers a layer of security and exclusivity for your scheduling by allowing you to generate unique, restricted URLs that do not expose your main profile.
While standard event types have public URLs associated with your username, Private Links allow you to invite attendees without sharing your direct booking page path.
- Protect Your Username: This feature prevents attendees from seeing your main Cal ID username, which otherwise leads directly to all your public booking options.
- Single-Use Security: You can generate a link that regenerates or expires after each use, ensuring an attendee cannot reuse the same URL to book your time repeatedly.
- Control Distribution: It prevents your link from being shared around unintentionally, helping you better manage incoming booking requests and maintain a clean schedule.
- Navigate to Advanced: Go to Event Types, select your event, and click the Advanced tab.
- Enable Private Links: Toggle the Private Links switch to ON.

- Configure Link Settings: * Click the Settings (gear icon) next to the generated link.
- Select Usage-based expiration and set it to 1 booking to ensure the link regenerates and cannot be reused.

- Alternatively, choose Time-based expiration if the link should only be active until a specific date.

- Copy and Share: Use the Copy icon to grab the unique URL and share it with your attendee.
- Save: Click the Save button at the top right to confirm your settings.
- The attendee sees a clean booking page that allows them to pick a time for that specific event.
- They do not see your public profile or other event types you may have.
- Once they complete the booking (if set to 1 use), the link will immediately become invalid for any future attempts.
